a cave is a natural underground tunnel that humans can enter. the word cave also includes spaces like rock shelters, sea caves and grottos. speleology is the science of exploration and study of all aspects of caves and their surroundings. a lot of animals live in caves, bats are the main animal that inhabit caves. the most interesting of animals is the cave fish, it's blind and it completely relies on special organs to feel themselves around. life in a cave is normally quite harsh. a lot of the animals that live in caves are usually blind due to the lack of light.
not a great place for humans to live in!! there are 8 types of caves. situational, primary, glacier, sea, erosional, fracture, talus and anchihaline caves.
if you go into caves a lot, make sure you don't become blind!!!!
