MADAGASCAR.
ring tailed lemurs are a rare species of lemur that obviously live on Madagascar because all lemurs live in there. they're only on Madagascar because when Madagascar broke off Africa, all the lemurs were on that part. they have lots of relatives that live in other parts of the world which are not lemurs, like possums.... there are lots of reasons why all lemurs are endangered.. deforestation, lots of foreigners are cutting down the baopap trees which the biggest and most famous tree in Madagascar, hunting, there are not enough conservation sites to protect the lemurs from poaching, there fur and meat is very valuable for the locals who kill them, obviously people are trying to help. There are not only just lemurs on this exotic island, giant mongooses are the second biggest threat to lemurs, they slink around at night on the high trees looking for food and bugs. they have lots of exotic birds(i don't know any!!!) that surround the canopy. lemurs live in groups and sometimes confront each other which has serious consequences, groups are decimated, baby's for future generations are killed with no protection. Madagascar has another bad situation, the expansion of the human towns, more and more trees are burnt down which affects all the animals.
there are different parts of Madagascar, the rocky area, where crevices and drops are formed but is good for the protection of lemurs, sofaka lemurs go there a lot.
the normal jungle, lot of thick dense typical jungle where the lemurs thrive when protected. the last key part of Madagascar is the desert and the baobap forests, its a very dry arid place, the baobap trees have enormous roots so they can take in a huge amount of water when there is, there are rarely any other trees or plants or animals there in the dry season, but in the rainy season its full of life.

new school Shrewsbury or Eton???
well, very tough decision i have to say. i would love to go go to Eton but i might not get in or might get a bit homesick.(unlikely) a lot of people want me to go there, James preece especially!!! it seems to be that i would like it, sport good academic and its near London. lots of my relatives live in London so i suppose it ain't that bad. also i would meet new and different people to nose near packwood and shrewsbury. i would have a 60% chance of getting into Oxford or Cambridge but i could get in at shrewsbury just as easily. luckily some friends might be going to Eton which will give me a good foundation to make more friends. i can easily pop into London which would be very nice indeed.
shrewsbury but be a lot more efficient because its closer to home and i know the area fairly well and most of my friends are going there.the academic ways are just as good in the top few sets and i know i wont be in a few high sets!!(maths and science) cricket and football is highly rated at shrewsbury and i love both including rugby which Eton like a lot to. ridgemount will be the house will go to if i go and it seems very good, my brother will be there for a year when i am at shrewsbury so that's a plus point. a few friends will be there as well. and of course ill make more friends. I'm really looking forward to going to either school i just hope i make the right decision.

My life at Packwood.
well what can i say? life has been pretty nice since i arrived at Packwood. in my first year, i had a great one, will helping me out, my talent for academic studies and sport had blossomed at Packwood. i made lots of new friends like Jack, Jude,Ned,Chan, eddie, linden and lots more to come. i knew that it was going to get better, my first ever football match!!! was striker in A's but cant remember if i scored or not. i seemed to be enjoying History, english, geography,r.s and not science and maths. a lot of the girls were annoying and trying to be cool all the time!! luckily theyve grown up a bit!! my form teacher was one of the nicest teachers i will ever have. even though she has left and i had 1 year with her she was very kind and generous with everyone. (miss. Welch.) in my year there were two forms. with my sport i usually played with the year above which meant i didnt enjoy sport with my own year.(still enjoyed it) My first exams and best result was french.(99%!!) my friends really showed me what i was like as a social person.somehow i got the most points in the whole school, so i got a nice big trophy!!!! i really knew that my teachers had got me there to that place.
rugby... i had barely played any rugby before and now i had to play in the year above!!! it soon became my love, running or passing, it really was fun,i played centre for the A's, still thinking now, i dont know how i got in!!! of course there were other things to do. chess, more work, basketball, bit of indoor cricket and a heck of a lot more. if it wasn't for Packwood, the person that i am now would have been completely different. now i really cant remember that much at that age, my brother seemed to be doing pretty well and he had 2 more years left and someone said i had to "follow" his footsteps, i dont think so!!!
summer... new uniform, green polo shirt and chords.(used to be shorts!!!). everyone seemed to be in a happy mood, supposed to be the best time of school year. Again sport seemed to be my main interest, cricket and mini tennis with mrs lamkin(groan) also known as mrs lambskin!!!(dont tell anyone) at first i loved fast bowling and batting but with years to come i would be a spinner.i really loved P.E in the summer with my friends. jumping in the sand and racing round the track, it was heaven. in freetime we used to go down to the ponds and make dens and have stick wars. everyone loved it, making dens and climbing trees, see who could make a bridge to the island to the pond.our criket coach was really good, i really learnt from over the years. i did play the clarinet but ditched it after i got rather bored of it. we had a fun time at Chirk castle for a history trip, my friends and i loved thr armour and weaons the most. cricket made me make new friends and how i see life now.the second batch of exams were the most important, i cant remember my scores but mum says i did well enough!!! near the end of term is the best time of year, the swimming relays, playin with friends and watching videos in class and sports day and also exam results. at that age though exams were not that important and its good that its isnt because at that age u need to build up experiance and not lose confidence. my house Harcourt Clarkes won the sports day and the relay race for the 7th time in a row.
and the picnic after that was an icing on the cake for my first year at Packwood Haugh. Next year was to be very fun.......

BALLON D'OR : WORLD PLAYER OF THE YEAR.
This year Lionel Messi won the Ballon D'or for the third consecutive time.

people have to vote for the winner. Messi is the fourth player to
win it three times including Johan Cruyff, Michel Platini and
Marco van Basten. Messi is only 24 and we will expect him to win a
lot more in the years to come.
With seven awards each, Dutch and German players have won it the most.
Juventus and AC Milan are the clubs with the most winners, (Van basten, Platini, Kaka,Ruud Gillit
Baggio, Zidane,Shevchenko)
As we enter a new year every player will be striving to do well in Euro 2012
Champions League etc.
