There are lots and lots of bears in the world. From polar bears to sloth bears, grizzly bears to sun bears, they are all the same in lots of ways.They are found in Asia, North America, South America and Europe. They usually live alone apart from when they are breeding, the cubs will be born and they stay with there mothers till they are a year old.They can eat anything from meat to grass and bugs and shrubs.A lot of bears are hunted for meat and fur, they all usually have thick fur because they live in a cold climate, the sun bear though live in a hot climate and have thin fur. Bears can swim, climb trees and run very quickly, making them supreme hunters.There relatives are pinnipeds which are seals, sea lions and wulruses. A long time ago, bears were the size of a racoon and had the diet of a badger.The biggest bear ever is the cave bear which is now extinct, it lived in most of europe, (not britain) and lived in low mountainious ranges across southern europe.
